MadTown ThrowDown 2019

On the weekend of November 9th the team competed in an off-season event known as MadTown Throwdown hosted by FRC Team 1323 MadTown Robotics. For the first time ever the team got the opportunity to compete with two robots at a competition. We had our rookie drive team in control of our practice robot named "Voyager" and our main drive team in control of our competition robot named "Sputnik." Our two drive teams got plenty of chances to practice and even played against each other (rookie drive team won). We also got to test out our newly designed hatch mechanisms on both robots which were successful and put to very effective use by the rookie team. Overall our main drive team went on to the semi finals to place 3rd. Our rookie team was unfortunately not picked for quarter finals, but they still had a great time. We had a great weekend and it was an exciting way to end the season.
